Charting the Voices of Indigenous Organizations and Communities

Issue

Reconciliation requires constructive action on addressing the ongoing legacies of colonialism that have had a destructive impact on Indigenous peoples’ education, cultures and languages, health, child welfare, administration of justice and economic opportunities and prosperity.

Solution

See Meaning regularly provides facilitation and graphic recording for Indigenous organizations. These engaging processes assure people their voices have been heard and help with complex collaboration and planning tasks.

Ongoing Results

See Meaning approaches all work with Indigenous organizations with cultural humility and cultural safety, Indigenous-centered knowledge, two-eyed seeing and Netukulimk. Within See Meaning’s own process of reconciliation and decolonization, we have mentored and hired Indigenous graphic recorders. Importantly, the outcomes of this work are not ours to own and remain an ongoing process.
